About Case Management Guide
Case Management Guide is an evidence-based industry resource about the software and technology used for human services case management — the work of helping people access, coordinate, receive, document, and evaluate services and support.
The publication covers the field, not just the software: practical guides to case management and program funding, research reviews that distinguish what studies found from what they did not establish, curated news on funding and policy, plain-language explainers of standards like HIPAA, curated industry resources — and a structured knowledge base of software and vendor profiles, feature assessments, and pricing research with documented sources and verification dates.
Who it's for
The publication serves the people who select and use this technology: nonprofits, social service and community-based organizations, public agencies, care coordination programs, behavioral health providers, housing and homelessness programs, disability services, youth and family services, workforce development programs, and community health programs — along with the case managers, program directors, and IT staff inside them.
What we cover — and what we don't
Our scope is the technology that supports coordinated client services: intake, needs assessment, goal setting, service and care planning, case notes, contacts, referrals, follow-up, outcomes, and reporting.
"Case management" is an ambiguous term, so we are explicit about what falls outside our scope: legal case management, litigation management, law-practice software, customer-support ticketing, and IT service management. Those are legitimate fields — they simply are not what this publication covers. See What Is Human Services Case Management? for the full definition.
Who publishes it
Case Management Guide is published by QuesGen Systems, Inc., the developer of QG Case Essentials — a product that competes in the market this publication covers. We say that plainly because readers deserve to know it, and we intend to cover the broader market fairly, including products that compete directly with QG Case. QG Case will be evaluated under the same published criteria as every other product.

Our perspective
We believe a healthy society takes seriously its responsibility to people who face significant challenges, and that the frontline professionals who do this work — case managers, outreach workers, social workers, caregivers, navigators — play an essential role in a just, humane, and functional social order. We do not approach public policy through a liberal or conservative lens: programs, funding models, and technologies are examined on their individual merits, with evidence distinguished from opinion — and when evidence is incomplete, conflicting, or contested, we say so. The full statement is in our editorial policy.
How we work
Product facts are drawn from documented sources — vendor documentation first, supplemented by public, government, association, and reputable third-party sources — with attribution and verification dates, and a clear line between documented fact and our own analysis. The approach is described in detail in our Methodology and Editorial Policy.
As the publication develops, we intend to involve outside experts and practitioners — people who run programs, manage cases, and implement systems — as reviewers and contributors. Contributor roles will be identified when that happens; if you're interested, see the Contact page.
